Poet David Surette, a high school English teacher and educator for more than 30 years, will lead a workshop on how to write descriptive narrative poems that capture a specific sense of place and time in a writer’s life.
As part of Calliope Poetry's project, "Wish You Were Here”: Postcards from the Past, David Surette will uses the Falmouth Public Library's historical collection of postcards as inspiration for writing short prose pieces or narrative poems (of 100 words or fewer) in a workshop for teen writers.
