This class will use the museum itself as our inspiration and make artwork that is in conversation with the artwork present at the Cape Cod Museum of Art. We will discuss the role museums play in the development of young artists. We will talk about proper museum etiquette. There will be lots of art materials to work with and an emphasis on exploration. Get ready to enter the wonderful world of art museums!

Jack Turnbull lives in Brewster, MA. He received his bachelor’s from the Rhode Island School of Design with Honors in 2007 and received a master’s degree from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2018. He teaches Visual Art at Monomoy Regional Middle School in Chatham. He is the author of various graphic novels, including Roger Otto: Dinosaur Skateboarder and The Wash-a-shores. He has worked in a variety of media including illustration, paint, pen and ink, animation, textiles, and more.
