Sandcastles by the Sea - First Night Chatham

Chatham First Night is gearing up for the town's 24th annual First Night celebration. This year's theme, "Sandcastles by the Sea", will feature a five ton Sandcastle created by noted sand sculptor Greg Grady. First Night Chatham is a family-friendly event. It features over 60 events and performances including 25 children's shows and activities. Music and dance performances begin at 1:00 pm and run until 11:00. There are two fireworks shows, one at 6:30 after the Noise Parade and a traditional New Year's display at the Oyster Pond features the "Dropping of the Cod".
