Parent Ragers: Momlife Comics

Are you exhausted? Angry? Feeling like you’re ready to break some dishes or scream into the void? Then come join The Cordial Eye for one of our new Ragers: a mini-retreat that provides time in community to safely vent, center ourselves, and transform our rage into joy and creativity!

This summer we’re partnering with BFree Wellness for three Ragers focused on Parents and Caregivers! Come blow off some of the never-ending steam that comes with raising kids in our world and be in community with others. This event is open to parents and caregivers of all genders and stages of life. Come to one, or all three! The cost is $25/session and please reach out to info@thecordialeye.org, if finances are a barrier for you.

Join local artist Mary Catherine Starr (the mom behind the IG account @momlife_comics) for an evening focused on using words + illustration to capture the enraging, absurd, funny, and challenging parts of parenting and caregiving. The workshop will open with a short journaling (and sharing) session focused on capturing some of the emotions involved in caregiving during this tumultuous time in history. We will then take our journal entries and rants and turn them into rough personal “comics” that tell an honest story about the intensity of caregiving. The goal of our time together is to have fun, connect with one another, and release some of our intense emotions through creating for creativity’s sake.
