Naturescape Gallery presents "Abstract Nature" by Photographer Marcy Ford.

Nature photographer, artist and writer, Marcy Ford, is a lover of all things in the natural world.

From the tiniest shell on the beach, to the myriad colors, textures and patterns of flowers, birds, insects, water, and rocks – all the way up to wide open vistas of the mountains, oceans, and desserts, et al.

In her Naturescape Gallery exhibit, Marcy delves into nature giving the viewer a non-representational look at her subjects as an idea that does not have a physical or concrete existence. We recognize the subject, but as if in a dream, using the shapes, colors, and forms to achieve its effect. In this case, Marcy enhances the beauty in nature and freedom of expression.

Marcy’s mission is to spread joy, beauty, and to inspire a respect and connection with Mother Nature. She is passionate about capturing the wonder and artistry that is found in nature, presenting it in a way that will intrigue, educate, and evoke emotion.

Marcy Ford is a regular contributor to several regional magazines, photographing and sometimes writing for a variety of articles related to the local flora and fauna of Cape Cod. She has also been featured in a handful of solo gallery shows and sells prints and cards locally.
