Please join Yves Vandeplas for gentle Hatha yoga in the beautiful Highfield gardens. This 1 hour morning hatha yoga class is a ritual to start the day. Hatha yoga is a gentle and slow-paced practice that emphasizes breath control and mindfulness.
Usually the class will start with the sun salutation sequence, a flowing series of postures that warms up the body, increases circulation, and focuses the mind. The sequence is then followed by a combination of standing and seated asanas (postures) that develop mobility, strength, and alignment. This practice will help you to energize your whole being and relax your mind. On a deeper level, it guides you to develop your awareness of your body, breath, and energy. Open to all levels.
