Explore the Magic of Poetry Through Expressive Arts - “All About Me” Poems and Bracelets

A new series at West Falmouth Library, for children in grades 1-4. “Explore the Magic of Poetry Through Expressive Arts” is a 3-part series taught by local author Marcie Schwartz. Register for 1, 2 or all 3 events at westfalmouthlibrary.org. Donations are welcome.

Wednesday, September 20th 4pm-5pm: “All About Me” Poems and Bracelets. What is poet’s paint? Do colors have feelings? What makes you special? We will explore what makes us unique through poetry and color.

Wednesday, September 27th 4pm-5pm: Heart Mapping. What’s inside your heart? Discover who and what you love and create a beautiful heart map. Then write poems from what you discover inside your heart.

Wednesday, October 4th 4pm-5pm: I am Poems and Kaleidoscopes. There are lots of things that make up the one special you. Just like a kaleidoscope, you are always changing, growing and becoming something new.

Local author Marcie Schwartz has been enchanting young children and educating their parents for the past 40 years. As a certified practitioner of poetic medicine, Marcie carries her skill and enthusiastic style into poetry circles she designs to meet the needs of diverse populations. She is the author of When Someone Deeply Listens To You.
