Dearly Departed: Talk with Falmouth Historical Society on The Art of Mourning

Falmouth Historical Society Executive Director Rachel Lovett will give a free talk on Wednesday, April 12 at 3pm at Falmouth Art Center about the April exhibit, “Dearly Departed: The Art of Mourning Past & Present.” The event is sponsored by Oak Grove Cemetery Association of Falmouth, Inc.

The exhibit is in collaboration with the Falmouth Historical Society, which will loan four historic examples of mourning art to the show. The exhibit also includes modern day interpretations of mourning art made by 15 local artists.

Dearly Departed will run from March 31 to April 24 in the Landrau-Partan Gallery at Falmouth Art Center, 137 Gifford Street in Falmouth.
