Clara Gerdes In Concert at the Church of the Transfiguration

Join us for an organ concert by guest artist Clara Gerdes, part of the Celebratory Concert Series for the Completion of the St. Cecilia Organ at the Church of the Transfiguration in Orleans, MA. The concert will feature the premiere of Supplication and Celebration by Samuel Adler, an organ duet written for the completion of the organ at the Church of the Transfiguration. This newly completed surround-sound instrument restored by Nelson Barden of Boston, is comprised of parts of twenty-seven different E. M. Skinner organs, includes over 12,000 pipes, and is the only one in the world with its particular surround-sound configuration.
