Beaches and Seascapes Workshop!

Artists Chris and Kelly Ferguson will lead a painting workshop “Beaches and Seascapes in
Watercolor and Watercolor Pencil”, on Saturday, July 8, from 9-11 am at Woodruff’s Art Center
in Mashpee Commons.
The gorgeous, ever changing water that surrounds us is the reason why we love the Cape! It’s
always there, just waiting for us to come along and paint it. So let’s pay homage to our beautiful
seaside home by rendering wonderful beach and seascape scenes in watercolor. In this workshop
we will be painting along with the instructors, Chris O’Dell-Ferguson and Kelly Ferguson,
exploring the subject matter through composition, light source, and values. We will be using
watercolor paints and techniques, as well as watercolor pencils to refine and add details to our
pieces. Photo references will be available, but this technique can easily be applied to a plein air
setting. We will conclude with a finished piece for you to take home. All supplies will be
included, but feel free to bring your own, as well. No experience necessary. Students must be 18
years or older to attend.
