Author Talk with Bob Ryan of "Scribe"

Sports writer Bob Ryan will discuss his memoir, “Scribe: My Life in Sports” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19. *Please note, this lecture will be held at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 91 West Main Street, Falmouth. Sponsored by Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank.

Mr. Ryan is one of America's most respected sports reporters, writers, and columnists. He retired from daily work at the Boston Globe in 2012 after 45 years at the paper. He is the author of many books including “Forty-Eight Minutes: A Night in the Life of the NBA”; “The Four Seasons”; “Wait Till I Make the Show: Baseball in the Minor Leagues”; and “The Boston Celtics: The History, Legends, and Images of America's Most Celebrated Team.” He continues to appear regularly on various ESPN shows.
