The Hyannis HyArts Artist Shanties, one program, two locations along Ocean Street!

Browse among the 12 colorful artist shanties along the Walkway-to-the-Sea and meet Cape Cod creatives who work and sell their wares right from their “seaside studios” in the heart of Hyannis’ working waterfront.  One program, two locations with harbor views!
Always open from 11:00am. Frequently artists come in early and stay late. 

Artwork varies and Artists change weekly

Artwork is hand-made, designed or crafted in a variety of mediums. Plan to visit often to meet a variety of Cape Cod artists and artisans.  Harbor Overlook and Bismore Park are beautiful and breezy spots to take in the sights and sounds of a working waterfront.  It is just steps to and from Hyannis Main Street to Hyannis Harbor.  

The artist shanties are named for the town’s seven villages and each shanty at Bismore Park features past and present images of the villages.
The Harbor Overlook shanties are named for some of the public town beaches.

The program, which first started in 2005 with just 11 artists, has expanded to now include up to 100 artists who rotate throughout the season, displaying their work at two locations along the Walkway-to-the-Sea. The Town run artist

It is easy to Park and Walk!

Park for free in the Town Hall public parking walk, steps away from the artist shanties, HyArts Campus and Hyannis Main Street!

FREE parking steps away in the Barnstable Town Hall Public Parking lot. Walk through the Hyannis Village green along the Walkway-to-the-Sea to the Harbor Overlook. Continue through Aselton Park and along the waterfront to Bismore Park. 

There are plenty of public parking lots steps away from Main Street and the harbor front!

Town Hall, Red Cross, and North Street parking lots are FREE, up to 6 hours.

Ocean Street & Bismore Park lots are metered. Pay stations are available using coins or credit cards.
You can also pay by using the app ~ mPay2Park+.
Be sure to download the app and fill out your car information prior to using.
