The Eastham Windmill is an important asset for the Town of Eastham. It is believed to be the oldest and last working gristmill on Cape Cod and is a major tourist attraction for the town. Its easy access from Route 6 offers all travelers a snapshot of the Cape’s past circa 1700-1800. The Windmill is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
Each year, a major Windmill celebration takes place the weekend after Labor Day. Called "Windmill Weekend", the 3 day celebration features music, food and crafts booths, a cookout, a pancake breakfast, a road race & a parade, and much more.
