The Meeting House Chamber Music Festival, Cape Cod’s longest running chamber music festival, offers a variety of performances each June and July, drawing on the art form that gives us full-fledged masterpieces on a human scale.  Orleans, Massachusetts, has been the primary location of the Festival since its inception, with the addition of satellite concerts now presented in towns throughout Cape Cod.

In accordance with its original mission, The Meeting House Festival brings musicians of highest caliber to Cape Cod to present concerts in intimate settings and always in collaboration with Cape Cod musicians.

The Festival was founded by Donald Enos, who serves as artistic director and pianist for these concerts.   After having received extensive musical training at the New England Conservatory, Mr. Enos returned to his native Cape Cod , where he is known for his solo work and collaboration with the Chatham Chorale and the Cape Cod Symphony, and presentations on the historically significant 1762 English chamber organ in South Dennis.

During the first twenty five years, the principal venue for this Festival was the meetinghouse of the Orleans Historical Society.   Also in Orleans, the parish hall of the Church of the Holy Spirit Episcopal,  which houses a Baldwin concert grand piano, is now home for the Festival, with concerts also presented at venues such as Highfield Hall in Falmouth and the Cotuit Center for the Arts.

The Meeting House Chamber Music Festival has something for everyone – melodies, some soothing, some soaring, some simply beautiful; harmonic progressions that can take you to far away regions but always return you safely home again; story-telling without the need for words; a kaleidoscope of instrumental colors that can entice locked emotions to the surface.
