The Eastham Public Library, member of CLAMS (Cape Libraries Automated Materials Sharing), promotes books, educational services, and cultural programming. The new library building which opened in November 2016 has earned national recognition for its Gold LEED (Leader in Energy and Environmental Design) certification and was one of six libraries across the country honored with a 2018 AIA/ALA Library Building Award for its architectural design. Overlooking Depot Pond, this library offers beautiful views, an extensive book collection, state of the art technology, an outstanding Youth Services Department, multiple reading and study areas including an outdoor reading garden, several conference rooms for meetings and presentations, and three gallery spaces for rotating art exhibitions.
