A Non-Profit Organization Founded in 1951

When Wheelock College drama professor Betty Bobp founded the Harwich Junior Theatre, she envisioned a place where children, young people, and adults could work, learn, and experience theatre – together.

Today, our beloved theatre is the embodiment of Betty’s dream and a pioneering force on the Cape. Recently renamed to reflect our breadth and depth of offerings and to continue the important work of our mission on a larger scale, the Cape Cod Theatre Company / Harwich Junior Theatre is a nationally recognized, year-round center for theatre arts education and outreach, and a semi-professional theatre that mounts 10 full-scale productions each year for audiences of more than 20,000.

We continue our efforts to enrich our theatre’s wonderful legacy and ensure that Betty’s dream thrives long beyond its 68 years. We welcome you along on our journey.
