Opening Reception for “Autonomous” and “Golden Age Program: Dennis Center for Active Living.”
Friday, April 5, from 5-7pm. “Autonomous,” an international juried exhibition in the three main galleries of the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, will challenge the question, “Is this art?”
This exhibition, on display from April 2-27, will have viewers experiencing the world of AI and generative art, as the artworks challenge traditional notions of art and push the boundaries of technology.
“Nuova Commedia Dell'arte” is a collection of reimaged Commedia Dell’arte characters by Carole Forbes that emphasizes hands, feet, and faces, and concentrates on the abstract distribution of color and line on a flat plane. These whimsical pieces will be on display in the Blue Room Gallery from April 2-27.
Visitors are also welcome to experience “Destination Collaboration,” collaborative murals from the Golden Age Program, and art pieces produced by the Destination Respite participants. These pieces will be displayed in the Education Wing Creative Arts Space Gallery from April 2-27. All are welcome to this free event.
