The theme DEPARTURES is intended to be interpreted broadly. Advancements in art result from daring and risk-taking. Aberration fuels evolution. In this call, artists are asked to submit artworks that exemplify a moment of departure from conventional styles or methods of creating. Two possible approaches to the theme are outlined below, but any interpretation of the theme will be considered.

This International Exhibition will be prominently featured at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in our expansive Hope / McClennen Exhibition Hall. All interpretations on the theme of Departures will be reviewed by internationally recognized artist, curator and gallery owner Nick Lawrence! Three (3) monetary prizes will be awarded by the juror: $500, $200, $100
