Hyannis Film Festival • The Stars Come Out in March

Presented by Hyannis Film Festival and JFK Hyannis Museum at JFK Hyannis Museum

Hyannis Film Festival presents its third consecutive late winter series of Movies on Main Street in Hyannis this March. Four movies will screen on Wednesdays at the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum.

Movies to be shown include the iconic marital relationship journey Two for the Road (1957); the inspirational true-story of Black women scientists who were Hidden Figures (2016); a music-filled, jazzy story of brotherly love fractured by a beautiful woman in The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989); and a gripping tale of interplanetary travel and romance in Passengers (2016).

In keeping with the Academy Awards being in March, each movie stars an actress who has won the Oscar or a Golden Globe as leading actress. Most of the well-known leading men include award winners themselves. The program celebrates Women’s History with Hidden Figures.

The movies will be shown on Wednesday nights at 6 pm in the Scudder Room at the JFK Hyannis Museum at 397 Main Street in Hyannis, next to the post office. Discussion follows each screening; special guests might join some of the after-movie discussions. Short videos created by members of Cape Cod Film Collaborative will precede each film.
