Sandwich Arts Alliance (SAA) is thrilled to present a sensational musical performance by Mike Block’s Biribá Union on The Glass Town Stage at the Historic Town Hall on Friday, March 1st at 7 pm. General admission is $25 and tickets can be purchased online at sandwichartsalliance.org or at the door prior to the performance. Doors open at 6:30 pm.

Biribá Union is a dynamic trio featuring Mike Block, Christylez Bacon and Patricia Ligia who blend original music with global influences, creating a fresh and accessible sound. Each member draws from their diverse backgrounds, such as Brazilian, Bluegrass, Jazz, Classical, Hip-Hop, Funk, and Pop styles, synthesizing them through original compositions and songs that highlight their improvisational spontaneity and high energy stage presentation.

Grammy Award-winning cellist, singer and composer Mike Block is passionate about cross-cultural collaboration through music and is hailed by Gramophone as \"one of the bravest, most intriguing musicians on the American fusion scene\". Block is also acclaimed by the New York Times for his \"vital rich-hued solo playing” and considered by Salt Lake City Desert News \"a true artist... a sight to behold”.

Christylez Bacon is a Grammy-nominated Progressive Hip-Hop artist and multi-instrumentalist who multi-tasks between various instruments such as the West African djembe drum, acoustic guitar, and the human beat-box, all while continuing the oral tradition of storytelling through his lyrics.

Patricia Ligia is an electric bass player and composer playing regularly in pop superstar Karol G\'s touring band, with whom she has performed on Saturday Night Live, NPR\'s Tiny Desk, The Today Show, and stadium shows around the world.
