It’s still winter, but that’s a great reason to come out and dance!

Outermost Contra is thrilled to present long-time caller Tod Whittemore.  Tod is known for his fun contra dances and “singing squares.” Tod has called dances all over the world, and is known for his humor, energy, and infectious love of dancing.

Tod will be accompanied this month by an incredibly talented duo:  Rose Clancy on fiddle and Max Cohen on guitar. Rose Clancy is Chatham’s well-known fiddler, performer, fiddle maker, teacher and session musician (https://www.chathamfiddlecompany.com/rose-clancy-fiddler).  Max Cohen is an accomplished finger-style guitarist, vocalist and accompanist (https://www.maxcohenmusic.com/max/).

Contra dancing is the older cousin to the square dance. No fancy footwork needed – if you can walk, you can dance!  All the dances are taught and called. If you’re new to contra dance or just want to polish your skills be sure to come at 6:30 pm for a “Contra Skills” workshop.

Come to dance or come just to listen.  All are welcome.  Admission is $15, $10 for those under 30, $5 with student ID.
