Cape Symphony: Passport to Hungary

Cape Symphony: Passport to Hungary

Presented by Cape Symphony at Barnstable Performing Arts Center (BPAC)

For centuries, Hungary has been a powerful inspiration for composers of all nationalities whose imaginations were captured by the country’s romantic beauty and colorful folk music. Featuring world-renowned Romani violinist Roby Lakatos and The Roby Lakatos Ensemble, this symphony of rich melodies and cultural flavor is sure to arouse the most discerning of palates. Kevin Fitzgerald will conduct the Cape Symphony Orchestra for an impressive program of inspired Hungarian music.

Our program includes works by Zoltán Kodály, Franz Liszt, Béla Bartók, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Darius Blasband, Vittorio Monti and others.

Cape Symphony is proud to present “Passport to Hungary” on Saturday, January 27 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, January 28 at 3:00 PM at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center, 744 West Main Street, Hyannis.
