Robin Joyce Miller: Black Art & Activism - America to Me

Presented by Falmouth Academy at Falmouth Academy

Don't miss the chance to hear from local artist and activist Robin Joyce Miller, who will be interviewed by CAI's Mindy Todd at this special event kicking off this year's Black History Month celebrating African Americans and the Arts, sponsored in part by the Woods Hole Diversity Advisory Committee (woodsholediversity.org/bhm2024).

Miller will showcase her art and discuss her latest series, "America To Me," exploring themes of freedom and democracy. Her journey from educator to accomplished artist is truly inspiring. Learn about her significant contributions, including her work with the Cotuit Center for the Arts and her impactful Black Lives Matter series.

Miller joined the CCftA board in May 2023, embarking on a mission to enhance representation across the organization, from the board to the stage, to mirror the diversity of the Cape Cod community. She also serves as a resident artist and volunteer at Zion Union Heritage Museum in Hyannis, MA.
