Featured Artist – Elinor Freedman

Recent pastel paintings by Cape Cod artist Elinor Freedman will be on display in Pastel Expressions, a Featured Artist exhibit at Eastwind Gallery July 3-July 8. Meet the artist and learn about her inspiration and process on Saturday, July 8.

Freedman has exhibited work in numerous juried exhibits in New England and New York. She is an elected artist member of the Salmagundi Club in New York, a juried master artist at the Cape Cod Art Center, a juried member of the National Association of Women Artists, an associate member of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club and the Pastel Society of America, and a member of the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod for which she has served as a board member and coordinates a scholarship program for students who aspire to careers in the arts. Freedman also serves as docent chair at the Cape Cod Museum of Art where she enjoys collaboration with docents to curate museum exhibits.

Eastwind Gallery is a cooperative with 14 gallery artists displaying a diverse array of artwork. The gallery is located downstairs between Watson’s Men’s Apparel & Gallant Jewelry in the heart of the Orleans Cultural District. Enter from Main St. or Main St. Square where free parking is available behind Watson’s with a rear entrance to gallery. Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
