Artists Chris and Kelly Ferguson will lead this fun and informative workshop, “How to Paint Birds in Gouache”, on Saturday, June 10th, from 9-11 am at Woodruff’s Art Center in Mashpee Commons.

Gouache is a time honored medium that has been used by professional artists and illustrators for centuries. Join artists Chris O’Dell Ferguson and Kelly Ferguson as they guide you, step-by-step, through the process of creating realistic paintings of birds using this historical, water-based paint. Both experienced naturalist painters, the artists will share their expertise in accurately rendering these avian subjects, breaking down techniques in a manner that is easy to follow and fun to create. Each participant will leave with their own completed masterpiece!

All supplies are included, but students are welcome to supplement with their own materials if they choose.
