All That Glitters is Gold: Luster Workshop

Thanks to a generous grant from The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, this workshop is being offered at a subsidized rate of $40.

In this three hour workshop you will learn a little about the history of ceramic luster and it’s use as a decorative addition, and you will learn to apply luster, both in it’s liquid form and as decals, to your own pieces. We will have 22 karat white and yellow gold luster and an array of gold decals available for use. Please bring 3-5 pieces of glaze-fired ceramic work to apply luster to. Luster is a decorative element used as a highlight. There may be a small upcharge if you wish to use a large amount of luster on a piece, and there will be a small charge per piece (dependent on size) if you wish to luster more than 5 pieces.

Work will be fired and ready to pick up the week following the workshop. An email will be sent to all participants when work is ready for pickup.
