The Yarmouth Port Christmas Stroll will include a variety of events on Dec. 4 at several sites along Route 6A.
Santa, entertainment and treats at the Yarmouth Port Christmas Stroll
The Historical Society of Old Yarmouth will host an open house at the Capt. Bangs Hallet House, a visit with Santa, a Native American wetu and crafts for children at the annual Yarmouth Port Christmas Stroll. The historical society properties will be among many sites providing holiday treats, music, entertainment along Route 6A open for the stroll from 1 to 4 p.m. Trolley rides also will be offered.
Children can visit and have their pictures taken with Santa Claus on the porch of the Bangs Hallet House. They can also learn about Native American culture at the society wetu, and make Christmas ornaments and decorate a tree in the Kelley Chapel. The first floor of the house will be open and decorated for Christmas.
The Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce is co-sponsoring all the free events, which will culminate with a tree lighting on the Common at 4. The stroll will be held rain, snow or shine.
