“..a performer that brings to the stage heart, fun, and sexuality . . .” Times Square Chronicles, January 2022
On December 10, ZOHO Music, a latin, jazz, and rock indie CD label, released the studio recorded CD version of My Ship: Songs From 1941, which Dawn Derow has been celebrating this past year by hearing it played on Jazz & indie Radio stations around the US and Canada, and with performances to a full house at New York’s Green Room 42 & Minneapolis, MN’s Dakota Jazz room.
We are thrilled to have her return to the Cotuit Main Stage with this show, along with her Music Director Ian Herman, prestige NYC Bassist; Tom Hubbard and our very own Bart Weismann on drums.
Dawn performed this show for us back in Sept of 2018. “People should come back even if they saw it back then, because there are new songs and the show has grown so much over the years,” says Derow.
The journey of My Ship has earned Dawn the 2018 MAC Award as “Best Female Vocalist” (as well as a MAC and Bistro Awards for her Director Jeff Harnar).
The Album has received rave reviews and won Dawn her 3rd MAC award for “BEST RECORDING” in April 2022.
