The Highland Street Foundation, founded in 1989 by philanthropist David J. McGrath and his wife JoAnn, is committed to addressing the needs and concerns of children and families in Massachusetts and California. They direct their efforts to provide access and opportunities in area of education, housing, mentorship, health care, environment and the arts.

August Adventures, modeled after Highland Street’s long-standing Free Fun Fridays’ program, will provide enriching opportunities for individuals, children, and families across the Commonwealth.  From children’s museums to art to nature sanctuaries, there is something for everyone.

In the spirit of their mission, the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History will join Museums and Cultural Venues across Massachusetts and open our doors to the public for a day of August Adventures Wednesday, August 31st, from 10 am – 4 pm.
