Opening Reception for Five New Cultural Center Exhibitions

Friday, September 30, from 5-7 pm.

All are welcome to experience five new Cultural Center exhibitions. "Six Cape Cod Artists: Each with Unique Methods and Perspectives" is a collection of abstract and representational works created by Twelve Hands Gallery, in the Constantinidis Great Hall, from September 27- October 8; “Celestial Light” paintings by Carl Richards expresses that art is both the record of an event and the event itself; that art can be ungraspable, unspeakable, unknowable, and clear as day all at the same time. This exhibit will be in the Blue Room, “Sunday Drives in New England” paintings featuring areas of New England by Bruce Simkins, in the Saben Board Room, from September 27-October 8; “Sextant” 27 paintings by Nate Olin which align with a poem from the auto-fiction work Sextant, in the Vault Gallery, from September 27-October 8; “Viscera: A Body of Work”  is a mixed media and fibers collection that explores the intersection of 4th wave American feminism, traditional Western women’s craft, and visceral memory, by Sonja Czekalski, in the Education Wing, from September 21- November 2. There is no admission fee, and all are welcome.

The Center's main parking lot is at the rear of the campus off Union Street, with overflow parking in the town lot on the corner of Old Main and Union Street or down Mill Street. The accessible parking spaces are near the accessible ramp entrance at the rear of the campus.
