Featured Artist – Elinor Freedman 

Whether home on Cape Cod or in her varied travels, Eastwind Gallery artist Elinor Freedman translates the essence of place into her artwork. An undulating sand dune, the ebb, and flow of the tides, the geometry of a marsh, or the delicate fronds of palm trees swaying in the wind all make for fascinating interpretations of a visual connection with the landscape. Soft pastel on sanded papers or textured boards is Ellie’s preferred medium as she enjoys the immediacy and vibrancy of the effects she is able to achieve. See a variety of her recent works on display in Local Color, a Featured Artist Exhibit at Eastwind Gallery August 22nd - August 27th. Eastwind Gallery is a cooperative with 14 gallery artists displaying a diverse array of artwork. The gallery is located downstairs between Watson’s Men’s Apparel & Gallant Jewelry in the heart of the

Orleans Cultural District. Enter from Main St. or Main St. Square where free parking is available behind Watson’s with a rear entrance to the gallery. Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
