Hotter Than July: A Tribute to Stevie Wonder Featuring Robbie Pate

Come enjoy a tribute to the wonderful Stevie Wonder performed by Robbie Pate. Robert “Robbie” Pate is a jazz vocalist and pianist from Baltimore Maryland, and currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts. Robert has performed at several venues throughout the Boston and Baltimore area such as The Beat Brasserie, The LilyPad, MFA in Boston, and the Museum of African American History. Most notably, Robbie spent the winter of 2018 touring with the Alexey Podymkin Quartet and has graced the stages of The Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall with the BSO Pops Orchestra, and Fenway Park with the ZAC BROWN BAND and at the Beat Brasserie for a Prince Tribute concert.

Robbie currently performs with a variety of groups such as: The Robbie Pate Trio, The Matt Savage Groove Experiment, The Lost Collective, Green Line X-Tension. He studied at the Baltimore School for the Arts with Kelli Young and Joyce Hubbard and continued his studies at Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory with Aubrey Johnson, Bradford Gleim, Dominique Eade, Bert Seager and Ran Blake.

Accompanying Robbie Pate will be Stephen Byth, saxophone; Eric Falter, bass; and Avery Logan, drums.

The Center's main parking lot is at the rear of the campus off Union Street, with overflow parking in the town lot on the corner of Old Main and Union Street or down Mill Street. The accessible parking spaces are near the accessible ramp entrance at the rear of the campus.
