Bangs Hallet Museum reopens

The Captain Bangs Hallet House in Yarmouth Port is reopening for tours on July 1. The 19th century Victorian home at 11 Strawberry Lane, is the only fully furnished captain’s house on Cape Cod that is open for tours.

The house holds silk, porcelain and marine artifacts from Yarmouth sea captains’ Far East seafaring days as well as an 18th century kitchen. A special exhibit this year features baby and children’s period clothing.

Docent-led tours are offered Friday through Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m., with the last one starting at 3 and continue until Oct. 9. Register for the tour at www.HSOY.org/events or pay at the door.
