Flying Colors

Presented by Woodruff's Art Center at Woodruff's Art Center

FLYING COLORS features a combination of paintings and fabric art by ten Cape Cod artists and one UK artist.

Color abounds in this eclectic array of art with variety to suit anyone’s fancy. A bright color statement is made with “Postcard from Sweden”, a 62”x72” fiber wall hanging/quilt by Lorraine Haynes of Mashpee, contrasting with a petite, delicate oil painting still life with grapes and a pear by Cynthia Cruz of Waquoit.

Color explodes in loose layers and textures in an acrylic abstract painting by Arthur Tsicoulias of Mashpee, while color quietly saturates a detailed acrylic painting of zinnias by Candice Ronesi of Forestdale with light softly shining through a purple vase.

Color literally flys out of UK artist Roger Bigg’s gouache painting that features more than twenty colorful parrots in flight through a brilliant green forest.

Other artists exhibiting are Annette MacAdams of Sandwich, Gunjan Laborde of East Falmouth, James Musto of North Falmouth, Betsy Payne Cook of Mashpee, Ric Haynes of Mashpee and Amy Rice of West Yarmouth.

Woodruff’s Art Center is open Monday through Saturday 9am-5pm. For directions and more information about Woodruff’s please visit www.WoodruffsArtCenter.com
