Dennis, MA - An exciting new exhibition just opened at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis, All The World's A Stage!  Sponsored by the Jeremiah Kaplan Foundation, the exhibition is on view through July 24th.

In accordance with the theme, this exhibition’s “Call For Art” was opened to the world, making it CCMoA's first-ever International Juried
Exhibition. 275 entries were submitted by 158 artists from 29 states in the U.S. and also from Canada and England. 75 works were selected by Bill Evaul, Juror and guest curator.

“Theme shows can be fun," explains Bill Evaul. "Give artists something to fix onto and their imagination will astound you. With this theme, the possibilities are wide open. As the [William Shakespeare] quote suggests, the world itself is a stage, which allows for almost anything. A landscape (the world) is a stage setting, with or without actors present. Then there is the literal stage, a structure for presenting performers or ideas with props, costumes, color and light. We had hundreds of great submissions so we chose to pack the house as full as possible."

The house (gallery) is indeed packed with a myriad of visual interpretations of the theme, from literal to metaphorical; 2-D to 3-D.
