Wet-on-Wet Watercolor Workshop, with Lisa Goren

Wet-on-Wet Watercolor Workshop, with Lisa Goren

Presented by Cultural Center of Cape Cod at Cultural Center of Cape Cod

Presented by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on Saturday, July 23, from 10am-2pm. Watercolor can seem daunting for those who have tried it or want to try it.  This is a class designed to help loosen your approach to the medium, feel more capable with the paints, and find out how rewarding it can be. The workshop focuses on working with water, learning how to mix colors, understanding paper, and using the strengths (and weaknesses) of the medium to your advantage. Within the 4 hours (1/2 hour for lunch), we’ll work with a “wet-on-wet” approach for much of the time, using many different surfaces and methods. Students will work with several pieces and may not finish any of them (because they’ll have to dry). However, the point of this class is not to have you walk out with a completed painting but, rather, with a new “box of tools” to compliment your painting style. You should be prepared to get wet and have fun! Visit the Cultural Center’s website for information on their COVID.  $115/$100 for members. Register at Register at www.cultural-center.org or call 508-394-7100. The Cultural Center is located at 307 Old Main Street in South Yarmouth.
