In this CEX Lab, participants will learn about the industry of surface design and art licensing, and discover how artists can get their designs on a wide variety of products by partnering with different companies. They will learn about marketing and branding their work, reaching clients, and setting achievable goals.  There will also be sufficient time for Q&A with Allison.
Allison is an illustrator and artist who never stops creating. She loves dreaming up characters, scenes, and typography that reflect a playful spirit and bright colors. Over the past eighteen years she has honed her aesthetic to create bold, colorful illustrations that range from trend-setting to mass-market ready. Her surface design work spans many age ranges and markets, and can be found on children's bedding, wall art, stationery, giftware, home furnishings, apparel, and bolt fabric. Allison graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2003 and currently lives in Rhode Island with her husband, son, and cat.
