Spring Migrants with Naturalist Phil Kyle

Spring Migrants with Naturalist Phil Kyle

Presented by Cape Cod Museum of Natural History at Cape Cod Museum of Natural History

Eighty percent of birds seen on Cape Cod are migrants and this peninsula can be a great spot for birding during spring migration. Limited land concentrates the birds into a few key areas and late foliage makes songbird viewing easier. Through Phil’s lecture and slides, learn their special physiology, what migrants look like, their categories, and why they don’t stay in the tropics.

After obtaining his B.S. in Biology from Cornell University, Phil has served in a wide variety of capacities including: a Columnist for the Cape Cod Times – Birding ; Director of Education, South Shore Natural Science Center; President, Cape Cod Bird Club;  Head Naturalist at Green Briar Nature Center and Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, Interpretive Park Ranger, Cape Cod National Seashore; Whale Watching Naturalist, Barnstable Whale Watcher and Captain John Boats; High School Teacher Biology & Anatomy and Physiology, Barnstable High School; currently a mere BIRDBRAIN!
