Sarah Osborne is the pen name of a native Californian who lived in Atlanta for many years and now lives in Falmouth. She is a physician and an author who writes cozy mysteries for the same reason she reads them—to find comfort in a sometimes difficult world. She currently has two cozy mystery series. The Ditie Brown Mysteries are set in the South, most often Atlanta where Ditie, as in Aphrodite, lives and works as a pediatrician. The first four books in order are Too Many Crooks Spoil the PlotInto the Frying PanMurder Most Southern and The House of Good and Evil. A fifth book titled Wedded to Trouble is in the works and scheduled for publication this September. The Flo and Maude Christmas Cozies feature two octogenarians who travel throughout the US to prevent murders during the holiday season. Flo is a curmudgeon and Maude a sweetheart. A younger assistant Kate carries a gun and does the heavy lifting. The first two books in the series are Flo and Maude Christmas Capers and Flo and Maude Save a Santa. A third book is scheduled for publication in November.
