This class is for teens, ages 12 and up, who are brand new to knitting. Students will learn the Continental/Scandinavian method of knitting.
Presented by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on four Saturdays, beginning July 9, 10am-12:30pm. This class is for teens, ages 12 and up, who are brand new to knitting. Students will learn the Continental/Scandinavian method of knitting. Participants will learn how to cast on, the knit stitch, purl stitch, yarn over, increase and decrease stitches, and bind off. to bind off. The instructor will discuss various natural fibers and how to care for them. If time permits, students will begin to knit a cropped top in the fiber of their choice. Students can purchase a $25 Beginner’s Kit from the Instructor on the first day of class. Visit the Cultural Center’s website for more information on their COVID policy. $160/$140 members.
