Come enjoy an evening featuring renowned singer Dane Vannatter accompanied by the Cape Cod Jazz Quintet.
At the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on Monday, July 11, at 7:30 pm.
Come enjoy an evening featuring renowned singer Dane Vannatter accompanied by the Cape Cod Jazz Quintet. Dane Vannatter resides in Ohio and is the recipient of two BackStage Bistro Awards. The Boston Globe says Dane has “a style that blends facets of cabaret and jazz with intelligence and care, and a distinctive style that leaves an imprint on whatever music he sings. His voice has a floating quality that gets in your head and won't leave....his music is a swinging, soaring adventure!"
In Boston, Dane sang for Fenway Park’s 100th anniversary before a record crowd of 40,000. Dane performs at the annual Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention at Town Hall in Manhattan and regularly in venues in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Boston, Cape Cod, and he performed a duet on stage with Patti LaBelle in Columbus on her classic “Lady Marmalade.” Dane’s 4th CD Give Me Something Real was released to much critical acclaim.
The Cape Cod Jazz Quintet will open the concert with a Tribute to Freddie Hubbard. The Cape Cod Jazz Quintet is comprised of five of Cape Cod’s top Jazz Musicians with Steve Ahern on trumpet & flute, Bruce Abbott on sax & flute, Fred Boyle on piano, Ron Ormsby on bass, and Bart Weisman on drums. The Cape Cod Jazz Quintet has appeared at concerts and private events across Cape Cod, accompanied vocalists Dane Vannatter, Siobhan Magnus, Cassandre McKinley, Leslie Boyle, and recorded two CDs including one with Dane Vannatter.
