Hyannis Film Festival presents five memorable movies celebrating Women’s History Month
These accomplished films feature notable women from different periods of history as their central characters. They touch on art, racial discrimination, LGBTQ concerns, overcoming personal limitations, infidelity, and triumphs. Movies to be shown include the biographical Western drama Woman Walks Ahead, the film classic Now, Voyager, British period drama Belle, the 1995 dark comedyTo Die For, based on the Pamela Smart story, and acclaimed French historical drama Portrait of a Lady on Fire. We'll talk about these memorable women in brief talkback sessions after each movie.
Thursday, March 3, 7 PM: Woman Walks Ahead

Thursday, March 17, 7 PM: Belle
Thursday, March 24, 7 PM: To Die For
Thursday, March 31, 7 PM: Portrait of a Lady on Fire
In Fellowship Hall at The Federated Church of Hyannis, located on the east end of Main Street, on Thursday nights in March.
Advance tickets via Eventbrite are $12 for each showing or $50 for the series. And at the door. Students 18 and under are $5 at the door. Vaccinations and masks are required. Seating capacity per event will allow for ample safe distancing. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
