CANCELLED: The Sandwich Arts Alliance is excited to host the “Sandwich Showcase Cavalcade Countdown” taking place Friday, December 31st at Sandwich Town Hall from 7-9 pm with doors opening at 6:30. Tickets, $15 for adults, $10 for children are available online at www.sandwichartsalliance.org or in person at the SAA Center and Gallery.

The event features ten acts to count down the New Year with a variety of performances. Sam Holmstock will be Master of Ceremonies and the performers are as follows:

1) L&G (Leslie Gage & Greg Polanik - Alt/country)

2) Braden Misziasek on the piano (Melinda Gallant's teenage grandson)

3) Nils Soderberg (vocals and guitar)

4) Jackson Gillman (storyteller with kids' songs)

5) Eddie Nickerson Trio with Steve Gregory and John Williams, & Eddie Nickerson (guitar/ukes)

Intermission - Snacks, raffle prizes, kids' art projects

6) Cape Caribe (Afro-Cuban quartet with Greg Polanik)

7) Bay Song (kids' music and puppets with John & Jo-Anne Keenan)

8) Kim Moberg & Heather Swanson (acoustic guitar & violin)

9) June Bowser-Barrett with Stella the Starfish (storyteller)

10) King's Busketeers ("high octane" folk trio)

The grand finale will be a countdown from 10 to 1 for "Happy New Year" and then performers will lead the audience in singing "Auld Lang Syne". The event is expected to sell out, so early purchases are advised. In addition to the wonderful show, there will be soft drinks, snacks, kids' activities, and raffle prizes.

“This will by no means be a replacement for First Night Sandwich since we all look forward to its return with multiple venues, multiple hours, community food vendors, fairy gardens, circus acts, parade, and fireworks”, added Herrmann. “That said, this will be a truly wonderful show to ring in the new year. It's on the earlier side so kids can join us and if you have somewhere else to go for midnight, you can still do that, too!"

The Sandwich Arts Alliance asks that attendees be vaccinated or wear a mask. Contract tracing data will be collected as part of the ticketing and entry process in accordance with Town Hall policies.
