Hiroya Tsukamoto is an innovative guitarist and composer who fuses folk, jazz, and world music.
Presented by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on Friday, June 10, 8pm. "Hiroya Tsukamoto takes us on an impressionistic journey." -Boston Herald. Hiro Tsukamoto is an innovative guitarist and composer who fuses folk, jazz, and world music.
Born and raised in Japan, Tsukamoto came to the U.S. in 2000 to attend Berklee College of Music. His instrumental abilities are indeed breathtaking and astounding, but his performances are so much more than that. Through a personable and genuine approach that almost transcends his musical abilities, he transfixes and mesmerizes his audience while his repertoire takes them on travels around the world to experience new sounds.
Tsukamoto has headlined concerts throughout the U.S. as well as internationally including the Blue Note in NYC, the United Nations, and the Japanese National Television. He also won 2nd place in the International Finger Style Guitar Championship in 2018. Don’t miss your chance to experience Hiroya Tsukamoto live at the Cultural Center.
