What better way to start your new year off than with the joyful experience of the Cape Symphony?
What better way to start your new year off than with the joyful experience of the Cape Symphony? Spend the afternoon enjoying a mix of old and new – and celebrate 2022 after the Cape Symphony's annual party makes its triumphant return after two years away.
This year, the afternoon concert features a tribute to the late Stephen Sondheim, alongside the traditional waltzes and marches in the spirit of the famous New Year’s celebrations in Vienna, Austria.
The Cape Symphony will also continue its joyful, albeit belated, celebration of Beethoven’s birthday with a performance of his “Romance for Violin and Orchestra,” featuring Cape Symphony Concertmaster Jae Cosmos Lee. The orchestra will perform selections from West Side Story (popular again with the new movie version out in theaters) and an arrangement of “Send in the Clowns,” from A Little Night Music, highlighting strings and piano.
