A burst of lively music is about to enhance Halloween in Sandwich Village on Sunday, October 31st from 3-5 pm as the Sandwich Arts Alliance hosts this year’s Ukulele Fest which will take place on the lawn of the newly renovated Sandwich Public Library on Main Street.

The seven local ukulele groups providing this autumn afternoon of musical fun and excitement include the Cape Cod Ukulele Club, Unlikely Strummers, Ukuladies, Shining Sea Strummers, CCFTA's Concert Ready Ukulele Band, Score Music Ukulele Experts, and the Steve Gregory Utopian Ukulele Trio.

Ukulele Fest is welcoming talented performers from Improv Cape Cod for entertainment between sets.

Ukulele Fest has delivered joy and laughter to audiences of this popular event since the Sandwich Arts Alliance (SAA) was founded six years ago.

Typically, a theme is selected for the Ukulele Fest. In 2019 Ukulele Fest featured “Music of the Sixties” to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock.

“This year the date really set the theme for the event, so expect to hear a variety of ghoulish tunes to celebrate Halloween”, added Gregory. “And to fill in the spaces between acts, the audience will be kept amused by Improv Cape Cod performing various short-form improv games based on audience suggestions.”

Raffle tickets to win four music instruction classes at Score, or a $100 gift certificate to the SAA Gift Shop, are available online now at the SAA website or at the event under the raffle tent where items from the SAA Gallery will also be on sale.
