Author Bios:
Leni Zumas: Leni Zumas’s bestselling novel RED CLOCKS won the 2019 Oregon Book Award for Fiction and was shortlisted for the Orwell Prize for Political Fiction and the Neukom Award for Speculative Fiction. The novel was a New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice and was named a Best Book of 2018 by The Atlantic, the Washington Post, the Huffington Post, Entropy, and the New York Public Library. Vulture called it one of the 100 Most Important Books of the 21st Century So Far. Red Clocks has been translated into eight languages. Zumas is also the author of FAREWELL NAVIGATOR: STORIES (2008) and the novel THE LISTENERS (2012). Her stories, essays, and interviews have appeared in Granta, The Times Literary Supplement, Guernica, BOMB, The Cut, Portland Monthly, Tin House, and elsewhere. She has received grants and fellowships from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund, the Regional Arts & Culture Council, and the New York Foundation for the Arts. Zumas lives in Oregon and teaches in the creative writing program at Portland State University.

Mona Awad: Mona Awadis the author of Bunny, named a Best Book of 2019 by TIME, Vogue, and the New York Public Library. It was a finalist for the New England Book Award and a Goodreads Choice Award. It is currently in development for film with Jenni Konner and New Regency Productions. Awad’s first novel, 13 Ways of Looking at a Fat Girl, was a finalist for the Scotiabank Giller Prize and winner of the Colorado Book Award and the Amazon Canada First Novel Award. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Vogue, TIME, McSweeney’s, Ploughshares, and elsewhere. She teaches fiction in the Creative Writing program at Syracuse University. Her new novel, All’s Well, has been named a best or most anticipated book of summer by Entertainment Weekly, O Magazine, Goodreads and many more.

Jake Wolff: Jake Wolff is the author of the novel The History of Living Forever (Farrar, Straus & Giroux). His stories and essays have appeared in journals such as One Story, Tin House, and American Short Fiction. He lives in Orlando, Florida, where he teaches in the MFA program at the University of Central Florida and serves as editor of The Florida Review.

Aja Gabel: Aja Gabel’s prose can be found in the The Cut, Buzzfeed, Kenyon Review, BOMB, and elsewhere. She studied writing at Wesleyan University and the University of Virginia, and has a PhD in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Houston. Her debut novel, The Ensemble, is out now from Riverhead Books. She lives and writes in Los Angeles.
