cARTography: Envisioning Cape Cod

This summer and fall, the Cape Cod Museum of Art will be home to a monumental, historic exhibition- cARTography: Envisioning Cape Cod. The exhibition is part of the Museum’s year-long 40th anniversary celebration. cARTography is multi-faceted exhibition consisting of historical maps of Cape Cod from the collection of David Garner; two monumental recently restored art deco murals from the collection of Jon and Eliza Lewis; "Our Story: 400 Years of Wampanoag History"- an interactive traveling exhibit commissioned by Plymouth 400 inc. and produced by SmokeSygnals; and an immersive installation Landscapes and People of the First Light, 11,000 years Ago on Cape Cod by local, contemporary artist and cartographer, Mark Adams.
cARTography is sponsored by Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club and the Josh E. Portrie Charitable Foundation and will be at the Cape Cod Museum of Art through October 3.
Summer Hours: Wednesday through Saturday, 10a m to 4 pm and Sunday 12 to 4 pm.
