The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History presents Making Ice Pops with Mary DeBartolo June 24, July 1, July 15, August 5 & August 20, 2021, at 2pm.
Who doesn’t love a refreshing ice pop on a hot summer day? Join us for a session under the tent with Mary DeBartolo, founder of both The Local Scoop in Orleans, and the chapter of Slow Food Cape Cod. She will showcase the magic of turning locally sourced farm products by gathering ingredients from Cape Cod food artisans and farms, working a little magic with ice, water and her Thai Pop maker, into delicious ice pops! We will learn a bit along the way. Everyone can assist and enjoy fresh fruit pops and learn about:
Knowing your local farmer and supporting our local community.
The science of polarity aka freezing a pop.
How to taste with your eyes, ears, nose and mouth.
