Sea Glass Bezel-setting Workshop

Sea Glass Bezel-setting Workshop

Presented by Cotuit Center for the Arts at Cotuit Center for the Arts

Sea glass jewelry is a style that has become really popular in the jewelry-making world! One of the benefits of using sea glass is that it costs absolutely nothing, which makes it perfect if you're at the beginning of your metalsmithing journey and keen to practice your stone setting techniques.
In this class, metalsmith and artist Elisa Sullivan will share with you some inspiring projects that are great for using sea glass. You will learn the right techniques and tools to use when bezel-setting sea glass. Elisa will also show you how to drill sea glass, create a claw setting, how to make a backless bezel set pendant and how to make a sea glass ring. Students should be able to complete at least two projects (ring, pendant, or bangle) in this workshop.
Bring your own sea glass or Elisa will have some pieces to select.
Material fee will start at $25 depending on projects and paid to the instructor at the first class.
Please wear close-toed shoes and bring a brown-bag lunch both days.
